The old city of Hyderabad was in for a treat when Bollywood star Akshay Kumar made an unannounced visit to Charminar to promote his much-awaited movie Boss. On this occasion he regretted the trend of writing names on historical monuments like Charminar.
Action hero of Bollywood films, Akshay Kumar’s unannounced entry into Charminar created a flutter among the usual visitors to the monument today.
He came accompanied with police. Wearing a blue jeans, black kurta and green overcoat, the clean-shaven Akshay had put on tinted goggles. He looked more like the superman about to fly than a film hero promoting his new film. Though unannounced, a lot of people had gathered to have a glimpse of their silver screen hero.
“It was great coming to Charminar, the response here is fantastic and the city looks really good from here,” he commented when he sped away in the car.
Akshay made up his way to the monument and watched the city from the top and waved at the people who were screaming him name and waving back at him. After posing for pictures and completing his walk, he walked down.
Many people gathered were excited to see him and tried their best to get closer to him and catch a closer view of him. Cops and bouncers had a tough time controlling the crowd.
